Vous avez sans doute entendu plus ou moins parler de ce mini-jeu Zelda sorti uniquement au Japon dans le jeu Four Swords Adventures. Il faut savoir qu&#8217;au d\u00e9but du d\u00e9veloppement, ce jeu n&#8217;aurait pas du \u00eatre un Zelda, mais une sorte de suite pour GameCube du premier jeu r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Eiji Aonuma en 1996 sur Super Nintendo et qui a pour nom &#8220;Marvelous : Mouhitotsu no Takarajima&#8221; (Marvelous : Another Treasure Island), il est tr\u00e8s fortement inspir\u00e9 d&#8217;A Link to the Past. Certains d\u00e9cors de Navi Trackers viennent directement de ce jeu, ce sont d&#8217;ailleurs les seuls qui restent visibles. Marvelous est sorti au Japon seulement, d&#8217;o\u00f9 son statut de jeu obscur pendant des ann\u00e9es, mais il fut tr\u00e8s important dans la carri\u00e8re d&#8217;Aonuma et son entr\u00e9e dans l&#8217;\u00e9quipe de d\u00e9veloppement d&#8217;Ocarina of Time (Zelda 64) en 1996\/1997. Avec Marvelous et son style &#8220;A Link to the Past&#8221;, Aonuma a convaincu Shigeru Miyamoto qui le recruta pour faire avancer le projet du prochain Zelda sur Nintendo 64 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque. Nous connaissons la suite de l&#8217;histoire.<\/p>\n<p>En Ao\u00fbt 2013, j&#8217;ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 obtenir non sans mal un iso de la version japonaise de Four Swords Adventures. Cependant, j&#8217;avais eu un autre iso du jeu auparavant, mais \u00e9trangement incomplet et le jeu \u00e9tait absent ou plut\u00f4t supprim\u00e9&#8230; Tous les fichiers de Navi Trackers ne contenaient que des &#8220;00&#8221; \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur en regardant avec un \u00e9diteur hexad\u00e9cimal. Impossible du coup de fouiller ce jeu&#8230; D&#8217;autant plus que j&#8217;avais d\u00e9couvert un fichier nomm\u00e9 &#8220;Menu1.dat&#8221;, un nom pas si m\u00e9connu dans les donn\u00e9es de The Wind Waker. C&#8217;\u00e9tait le fichier d&#8217;une map select ! Mais avec les &#8220;00&#8221; \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur, je ne pouvais pas voir ce qu&#8217;il contenait, trop rageant !<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9livrance arriva quand je trouva enfin un iso intact du jeu, je pouvais enfin fouiller dans les donn\u00e9es de Navi Trackers et voir sa map select. Cependant, je ne savais pas que j&#8217;allais faire une d\u00e9couverte assez surprenante, bien que facile \u00e0 trouver, mais \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, personne n&#8217;avait eu l&#8217;id\u00e9e de fouiller ce spin-off japonais de Zelda. C&#8217;est pendant cette m\u00eame p\u00e9riode que j&#8217;ai publi\u00e9 une partie de ces trouvailles sur <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20141012083525\/http:\/\/jul.rustedlogic.net\/thread.php?id=16428\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">le forum li\u00e9 au site The Cutting Room Floor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Que contient cette map select ? Eh bien pas grand chose, elle est tr\u00e8s petite ! Il y a juste quelques textes en japonais :<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/mapselect\/FSANT_MapSelect.png\" width=\"760\" height=\"252\"><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u30de\u30fc\u30d9\u30e9\u30b9 &#8211; \u30b5\u30a6\u30f3\u30c9\u30c6\u30b9\u30c8 &#8211; \u041cAP1 &#8211; Map1 &#8211; SndTst<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Le premier mot japonais est &#8220;Marvelous&#8221; et le second est &#8220;Sound Test&#8221; tout simplement. Cette map select semblait surtout \u00eatre une sorte de sound test. Mais le mot &#8220;Marvelous&#8221; est le plus intriguant dans l&#8217;histoire. J&#8217;ai \u00e9galement trouv\u00e9 une autre partie du sound test avec les options dans un autre fichier.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/mapselect\/FSANT_SoundTest.png\" width=\"760\" height=\"397\"><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s ces petites d\u00e9couvertes pour la map select, je passe \u00e0 la recherche des textures et autres choses pouvant \u00eatre int\u00e9ressantes. Voici ces fameuses d\u00e9couvertes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"subject-title\">Avant Navi Trackers, c&#8217;\u00e9tait Tetra&#8217;s Trackers&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>Le d\u00e9veloppement de Navi Trackers (anciennement Tetra&#8217;s Trackers) aurait d\u00e9but\u00e9 quelques mois avant l&#8217;E3 2003, donc vers le d\u00e9but d&#8217;ann\u00e9e. C&#8217;est sous l&#8217;ancien titre que le jeu fut d\u00e9voil\u00e9 lors de l&#8217;E3 2003 avec une d\u00e9mo et dans une version anglaise, car il faut savoir que la version finale n&#8217;utilise que le langage japonais, y compris pour les voix. Un logo du jeu fut m\u00eame montr\u00e9 pour cette occasion o\u00f9 l&#8217;on voit un &#8220;The Legend of Zelda&#8221; en vert et avec un artwork de Tetra tenant dans une main son Amulette Pirate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_E32003_Logo.png\" width=\"125\" height=\"175\"><\/p>\n<p>Finalement, le jeu ne poss\u00e9dera aucun logo, certainement \u00e0 cause de son int\u00e9gration dans le jeu Four Swords Adventures par la suite. D&#8217;ailleurs, il n&#8217;y a aucun logo dans le jeu lui-m\u00eame, il d\u00e9bute avec un \u00e9cran noir ayant des textes blancs en japonais.<\/p>\n<p>Dans l&#8217;ancienne version, celle ayant le titre Tetra&#8217;s Trackers, il y avait bien un \u00e9cran titre et avec le fameux logo du jeu. Gr\u00e2ce aux fouilles que j&#8217;ai entrepris dans les donn\u00e9es, j&#8217;ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir des textures de l&#8217;ancienne version du jeu, certainement la d\u00e9mo de l&#8217;E3 2003 et donc des images de cet \u00e9cran titre.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_tetra_logo_01.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"200\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_press_start.png\" width=\"280\" height=\"40\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_c2003_nintendo.png\" width=\"204\" height=\"32\"><\/p>\n<p>Le logo du jeu en plus grand format avec un fond noir, un &#8220;Press Start&#8221; et le copyright de Nintendo avec l&#8217;ann\u00e9e 2003.<\/p>\n<p>La suite des recherches est beaucoup plus int\u00e9ressante, je suis par exemple tomb\u00e9 sur un plan d&#8217;un endroit coup\u00e9 en quatre parties. Cet endroit existe plus ou moins dans la version finale du jeu, mais celle-ci est une version bien plus ancienne. La quatri\u00e8me partie de cette carte utilise un format un peu diff\u00e9rent, je ne suis pas parvenu \u00e0 le convertir correctement, mais j&#8217;ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 le rendre visible, car le programme qui permet de convertir les textures au format &#8220;.bti&#8221; donne comme r\u00e9sultat une simple image vide avec transparence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_00.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_00.png\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\"><\/a> <a href=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_01.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_01.png\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_02.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_02.png\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\"><\/a> <a href=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_03.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"\/\/www.triforce-legend.com\/beta\/fsant\/texture\/FSANT_s0_bmap_03.png\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;ancienne version de cet endroit n&#8217;est pas aussi m\u00e9connu que cela, mais il faut remonter en arri\u00e8re et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 l&#8217;E3 2003. Sur les quelques images du jeu d\u00e9voil\u00e9es, il est possible de voir le plan identique de ce lieu justement. C&#8217;\u00e9tait certainement l&#8217;endroit utilis\u00e9 dans la d\u00e9mo du jeu \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque. A ce moment-l\u00e0, j&#8217;ignorais de quel jeu \u00e7a pouvait venir avant d&#8217;avoir une confirmation gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 certains personnages. Ils venaient du jeu Marvelous, jeu dont j&#8217;avais vaguement entendu parler car \u00e9tant le premier v\u00e9ritable jeu d&#8217;Eiji Aonuma, le d\u00e9sormais patron de la s\u00e9rie Zelda. Comme \u00e9voqu\u00e9 tout en haut, Marvelous est un jeu sorti uniquement au Japon en Octobre 1996 sur Super Nintendo, une console qui \u00e9tait en fin de vie. Cependant, il ne s&#8217;agit pas du premier Marvelous, car il y a eu deux autres \u00e9pisodes destin\u00e9s au Satellaview, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 \u00e9taient jouables les divers BS Zelda entre 1995 et 1997.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;histoire se d\u00e9roule sur une \u00eele o\u00f9 des groupes d&#8217;enfants au nombre de trois sont emmen\u00e9s par une chef scout nomm\u00e9e Gina. Tous sont \u00e0 la recherche d&#8217;un l\u00e9gendaire myst\u00e9rieux tr\u00e9sor appartenant au Capitaine Maverick. Chaque groupe poss\u00e8de un leader, ce dernier porte sur la t\u00eate le &#8220;Chapeau du Leader&#8221; ressemblant \u00e0 un Fedora. Parmi ces groupes d&#8217;enfants, trois jeunes gar\u00e7ons du nom de Dion, Mike et Jack vont se retrouver confronter \u00e0 des ennuis avec d&#8217;\u00e9tranges pirates dont leur chef n&#8217;a rien d&#8217;une terreur. Cet antagoniste voyant que le tr\u00e9sor du Capitaine Maverick \u00e9tait la cible d&#8217;autres chercheurs a kidnapp\u00e9 Gina pour \u00eatre tranquille. Le jeu se passe en plusieurs parties et sur divers \u00eeles o\u00f9 il faudra r\u00e9soudre des ennuis et des \u00e9nigmes, parfois un peu tordues, dans le but de retrouver des orbes ayant appartenu au Capitaine Maverick et qui m\u00e8neront au tr\u00e9sor l\u00e9gendaire de ce dernier. Chacun des trois gar\u00e7ons \u00e0 des qualit\u00e9s, Dion consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le plus malin et agile, quand Mike mise plus sur la force et Jack sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 intellectuel, chacun poss\u00e8de une barre de vie et si l&#8217;un d&#8217;eux venait \u00e0 perdre, c&#8217;est un Game Over direct, quelque chose qui se retrouve dans Tri Force Heroes. Tous les trois peuvent porter le &#8220;Chapeau du Leader&#8221; et donc mener les deux autres gar\u00e7ons, mais \u00e9galement de faire des actions pr\u00e9cises \u00e0 l&#8217;aide de certains objets que chacun r\u00e9cup\u00e8re pendant leur aventure. Marvelous est \u00e0 la fois un jeu d&#8217;aventure, d&#8217;action et de r\u00e9flexion. I think although the most fun can be had playing with friends, the event of a single player session must always be treated fairly. For many reasons, we spent a lot of time making the Hyrule Adventure huge. We could have made it smaller and still feel more than content with the multiplayer since there is so much to do! But for single player, Hyrule Adventure is your main game, thus we had to really make it huge.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> How is Shadow Battle?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Suzuki:<\/strong><\/span> The game is a straight forward single screen set-up where all the Links duke it out. However, we thought we needed to add something extra. So there are several clever GBA connectivity elements within it.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Aonuma:<\/strong><\/span> It&#8217;s not only a battle game, but part hide and sneek.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> How is Navi Trackers which Mr. Tsuchiyama took charge of?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Yoshinori Tsuchiyama:<\/strong><\/span> Well we wanted to do a connectivity Zelda completely different than the Hyrule Adventure. That was the original plan.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Aonuma:<\/strong> We developed a game called Marvelous which used the Satella View almost eight years ago. In that game, we had a quest where you would collect stamps while listening to a radio which gave you clues. We took that idea and reproduced it by using connectivity instead.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Tsuchiyama:<\/strong> During the initial planning stage, we were using a woman in a passenger seat of a car, giving you vague directions on where to find the items. Almost like dealing with an annoying backseat driver who is giving you horrible directions as you try to reach your destination without losing your patience. Producers suggested we tie this in with the Zelda franchise, and soon enough Navi Trackers was born.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> The speech contents have been changed considerably from the original?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Tsuchiyama:<\/strong><\/span> Well just the other day, the scavenger items being collected were stamps. Upon further development and using the Zelda theme, we changed the stamps to pirate medals which sort of makes more sense.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Aonuma:<\/strong><\/span> Mr. Miyamoto spoke to us and told us how a small change can make you rethink the entire game. It is important to make careful and conscious decisions.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> Were quiz and bingo considered (smiles)?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Tsuchiyama:<\/strong><\/span> Well I wanted to put in a thing where the screen would be divided in parallel to play and incorporate a mini game.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> It is very cool the way Tetra speaks?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Tsuchiyama:<\/strong><\/span> Tetra is checking the number of the medals and progress for each player. Tetra will give you the scavenger hints, joke around, and give progress reports depending on the situation.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Aonuma:<\/strong><\/span> The Wind Waker team (now working with Mr. Aonuma on the next full fledged Zelda) spent the most of its time with the 4 Swords development team with this feature.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> What do you feel were some of the major accomplishments?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Aonuma:<\/strong><\/span> Well the majority of new Zelda titles are mainly concerned with the 3D element right now. With this array of 2D Zelda titles, we really wanted to push the GameCube to showcase how cool 2.5D could be. The split of two directors each working original ideas into the franchise is also a crucial element as to why this game(s) will be so special.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Suzuki:<\/strong><\/span> I have loved this series since the original on the Famicom. I could not express my happiness and excitement over directing this game.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Aonuma:<\/strong><\/span> We really are using a lot of technology to push this game in its traditional form. It&#8217;s like instead of getting a next-generation sequel to the traditional Zelda titles, the formula changed with 3D. With this game, we are sort of pushing the old school formula with new technology rather than pushing a new formula. This game is also very friendly to someone who has not played the original Zelda titles.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Suzuki:<\/strong><\/span> I think this is one of the best Zelda experiences you will have.<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Q:<\/strong> Any final words from the development team?<\/h6>\n<h6>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Suzuki:<\/strong><\/span> Just remember that this isn&#8217;t a remake of the original four swords! Don&#8217;t let the &#8220;Four Sword +&#8221; fool you, I mean to be honest it should be more like &#8220;Four Sword +++&#8221;, and almost forgot to add another &#8220;+&#8221;, (smile). The Hyrule Adventure alone is a full scale 2D Zelda! I mean it&#8217;s the first of its kind since The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. Navi Trackers can be enjoyed from adults to children.
